the artist reserves the right to decline a commission for any reason.
orders will be finished as quickly as possible, however no guarantees can be made as to unexpected delays and emergencies. patience and respect are expected of the client, and disrespect will result in order cancellation. the artist is willing to accommodate emergencies on the hand of the client, though no guarantees can be made. such matters will be discussed on a case by case basis.TIME FRAMES
generally speaking, all orders will be expected to be completed within a month. time frame estimates for various products are as follows:
chibi refs and icons will require one calendar week (seven days from order confirmation) for completion.
cel-rendered pieces will require two calendar weeks (fourteen days from order confirmation) for completion.
painted-rendered pieces will require up to four weeks (twenty-eight calendar days) for completion.
generally speaking, more complex pieces will take longer to complete.
the above listed times are not guaranteed and are simply an upper-end estimate of how long completion may take. a piece may take much shorter or much longer than the above timeframes. if the artist takes three times longer than the agreed upon timeframe to complete, the commission will be cancelled and refunds will be provided where applicable.REFERENCES
the artist requires visual references to be provided for all major elements of a piece. text may be provided as a supplement or to provide minor changes or corrections to visual reference.
elements requiring visual reference include but are not limited to characters, props, significant environments, and/or significant poses.
all necessary references must be provided before work begins; the artist reserves the right to decline a commission due to insufficient reference. the artist may ask for additional reference as needed.
acceptable forms of reference include character sheets (ideal) or other artwork, dollmakers such as picrew, photos and concept boards, pose references from 3d posing models or stock galleries such as senshistock, and more.
the artist will not accept references in the form of AI art.
the artist will not accept references the client does not have the right to use, such as stolen artwork (yes, even with credit) or design references depicting copyrighted characters unless the piece is intended to be fanart of the character.ADDED FEES
some pieces may require added fees for certain details as explained in a style's respective info page. these may included detail fees (in case of chibi refs and icons only) and costs for including extra features, such as added characters or backgrounds.
guidelines for detail fees have been laid out on each style's info page, though may be added or removed at artist discretion. addition or removal of extra fees may be up to negotiation, though the artist holds the final say.
when applying extra fees for extra characters, the character with the highest level of body framing will be used as the base price, and others will be priced according to their own body framing. for example, if a piece has one character with their whole body visible and two with only the head and shoulders visible, the base price will follow the framing of the first one regardless of which character is the subject.
characters consisting of simple shapes or low detail, such as silhouettes, basic forms, or only small parts of a character in view, will not require additional character fees. such decisions will be made on a case by case basis.PROCESS
when negotiations are complete and details of the commission are set, the artist will send a paypal invoice or paypal.me link to the client, or for certain items, the client may pay through ko-fi. in both cases, work will begin after the artist has received payment.
once payment has been received, the artist will begin work.
the client will receive a clean sketch for approval or alteration requests. if applicable, the client may also receive a block-in of basic scene elements before the sketch is completed to ensure placement, silhouette, and pose.
the sketch may be altered as much as the client sees fit, but after it is finalized, they may have a maximum of three significant edits free of charge. after that, each edit will cost an additional 20% of the final price. significant edits entail changes to the composition, major edits to the character design, and similar edits that would require remaking the sketch.
during initial discussion of the work, the client may request additional works in process for the inking and coloring stages
if more than half the allotted time has passed, additional works in progress may be requested.
all works in progress are for the eyes of the client and possible gift recipient only, and are not to be reshared. all works in progress will be watermarked with this information. works in progress are not to be used as finished pieces, and simply to update the client on progress.
the finished work will be delivered in a link to a google drive folder, to retain quality.REFUNDS & CANCELLATION
the client may request a cancellation and full refund of the piece's worth up to the point in which the sketch is approved.
from this point, a client may cancel their commission for a 50% refund, viable up until the completion of linework for colored images.
after the client is notified that the inking has been finished, they may request the cancellation of the rest of the progress, and will be provided with the uncolored lineart. however, the sale will be final from this point.USAGE
all illustrations are only for personal use. the client may not obtain any commercial and/or monetary gain from any illustrations.
finished works may be used for purposes such as icons or headers, so long as they give proper credit linking back to the artist.
illustrations may be used for purposes such as roleplay group assets only if this purpose is explicitly stated before the commission is begun and the artist is credited upon usage.
the client alone may repost the final piece, and the client must give proper credit linking back to the artist.SUBJECT MATTER
